Simulator predicts CL qualifications ... 

Arsenal and Manchester United have been predicted to trump their Premier League rivals Liverpool and Tottenham to Champions League qualification this season, a simulator has predicted.

BSports, one arm of STATS, have undertaken the huge task of simulating the rest of this season’s top-flight matches 100,000 times to predict what the final Premier League table could look like in May.

And for Chelsea, Manchester City, Gunners and Red Devils fans, it’s good news.

Despite Arsene Wenger’s side currently sitting in fifth spot in the table, BSports have calculated that the north Londoners will beat their city rivals Spurs – currently in sixth place – to a third-placed finish with 73 points.

United, who are in third position at the moment, have been predicted to fall down the table by one spot – but Louis van Gaal’s side should, crucially, still secure their passage back to Europe’s premier competition for next season.
